Time to go to work! ⛏️ RDU Airport broke ground today on the replacement runway 5L-23R. When it opens — replacing the existing primary runway — “the two most important miles of pavement in the Triangle” will serve as central and eastern North Carolina’s gateway to the globe. The replacement runway will be built at 10,639 feet and be located 537 feet west of the existing 5L-23R.
