History on Instagram: "The 2011 Reno Air Races crash, also known as the 2011 Reno Air Show crash, occurred on September 16, 2011, during the National Championship Air Races at Reno-Stead Airport in Reno, Nevada. A highly modified North American P-51D Mustang named “The Galloping Ghost,” piloted by 74-year-old Jimmy Leeward, lost control and crashed into spectators.
