It's parsnip plucking time! Here are our lovely parsnips being pulled from the field by our growers, brothers Neil and Gary Farley in Cullompton, Devon. These week's weather is perfect for harvesting: firstly because the soil is dry, so they lift easily and we don't risk damaging and compacting wet soil, and secondly because we had the first heavy frosts last week, which convert the starch into sugars and makes them wonderfully sweet. The Farley brothers have been growing root veg for us for ove
