Welcome home! 💚 ⠀ In July, the "Friends of the Baltic Ringed Seal Foundation" released two ringed seal pups into their natural habitat — Lake Ladoga. 🌊 One pup was found in the Neva River, the other in Priozersk. Both underwent rehabilitation at the Foundation and are now free again. 🐬 Why might a seal pup be left without its mother? 🐾 The most common reason is that the mother seal goes away to feed, and the pup accidentally drifts away on an ice floe.
