Every year on Memorial Day, a special wreath laying ceremony takes place at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. Earlier today, DAV National Commander Daniel Contreras had the opportunity to present a wreath at the wall, representing the organization as part of the ceremony. In honor of National Veterans & Military Families Month, we followed Sgt. First Class Anthony Evans to the Vietnam Wall alongside his father, Col. Otis Evans (Ret.), a Dustoff pilot in Vietnam, and his crew chief, Clem Grillo. Their conversations offered Anthony guidance and perspective, helping him navigate the loss of fellow Soldiers and reminding him that the burdens of service need not be carried alone. Today and every day, we stand with our veterans and the families who carry their stories.
