Dekese goes “fishing”! Chimpanzees are skilled at using natural tools in the wild and will often use sticks without leaves to fish for termites in mounds. They will place the stick in a hole of the termite mound, let it sit briefly, pull it out…and eat! Researchers have observed a similar behavior with bee hives, with the chimpanzees fishing out honey.
