LOCKYER VALLEY| Firefighters have had a busy couple of days battling bushfires in the Lockyer Valley. The Queensland Fire Department says a large blaze broke out on the Warrego Highway at Ringwood near Gatton at around 11:30am yesterday. It's now out after water bombing aircraft and rural and urban crews were brought in to battle the fire. The eastbound lanes of the highway near the Gatton Bypass Truck Stop were also closed off at the height of the blaze. It was the second bushfire this week.. a
