Hydrangeas like limelight, little lime, quickfire, bobo, etc. are panicles or paniculata. These can get HUGE and I see them planted very close to houses, walkways and other shrubs frequently. I believe this is a dwarf variety but even those can get large so radical pruning each spring is required to keep them in check. They form their buds during the early summer so pruning in early spring is a good time to do it. Typical size for panicles is around 8-10 feet wide and new stems can grow a lot in
