First time we’ve ever caught a Puget Sound king crab. At first we thought it was some type of box crab, and we thought it must be rare because we certainly had never seen one before. Puget Sound king crab can be found all along the coast from Alaska to California but they are uncommon. In fact, the Washington Fish and Wildlife Department lists it as a protected species!
