First Quantum Minerals (FQM) recently hosted a two-day media tour of its Kansanshi and Trident mines, offering journalists an exclusive look at the progress of the US$1.25 billion S3 expansion project at Kansanshi. Now 83 percent complete, the project is on track for commissioning by year-end. Kansanshi Mine S3 Manager Andrew Nugent revealed that the development has already generated 2,500 construction jobs and will create 900 permanent positions once fully operational. S3 Operations Superintend
