You can also see that it has no hind limbs, but did you know that they're nocturnal and can spend most of the day in vegetation and under rocks? Eel or Salamander? If you go by its looks, you may have been fooled by this amphibian. The Greater Siren is a type of salamander that lives exclusively in aquatic environments. Its external gills, short forelimbs, and lack of hind limbs are few features that make Great Sirens unique creatures among the salamander family.
